Goofy Stuff

This company makes protective covers for iPods. "GelaSkins are made from premium vinyl with photo quality graphics featuring designs by artists from around the world." They have some pretty interesting designs. Looks pretty cool to me. They are about $15 a piece. That probably does not include shipping and handling. The website can be found here.

In Great Britian, there is an amusement park named Diggerland. Actually, it has three different locations. The theme seem to be based on heavy contruction equipment. Here is the park's website. Here is a page with pictures of the various rides.

A few days ago, I came across the World RPS (Rock, Paper, Scissors) Society web page. Their motto is "Serving the needs of decision makers since 1918". A club was actually started in 1842. The name was changed in 1918. They have an on-line museum, a monthly radio program, articles on strategy, videos on RPS championship matches and articles on meetings and championships. The picture above advertises the upcoming "2006 International World Championships."

The club's mission statement: The World RPS Society is dedicated to the promotion of Rock Paper Scissors as a fun and safe way to resolve disputes. We feel that conserving the roots of RPS is essential for the growth and development of the game and the players. The World RPS Society is involved in many areas of the sport, such as; research studies, workshops, tournaments at both local and international levels, book publishing, and much more.

I am not sure why I am surprised any more about this type of stuff, but I am. They even have trading cards!
