Giants Vrs Dodgers

Last night, Ben and I went to a Giants versus Dodgers game. It was a very exciting game, although the wrong team won in the end. The Giants were leading up until the 9th inning, then they fell apart. The winning run was scored on a wild pitch in the top of the 9th. In the bottom of the ninth, the Giants had men on first and third with one out, but could not score a run. Very disappointing, however it was a fun game to watch anyway.

Ben gave me a new Giants jacket (see picture). It was a belated birthday gift. As you can see, it is a very nice jacket and I greatly appreciate it. I am lucky to have such a thoughtful son.

Kiefer Sutherland (from "24" fame) was at the game; he was sitting in a section to the right of us, behind home plate. As he was starting to leave the game, the 2 kids in front of us ran back to the hallway behind our seats. The boys were probably 11 or 12 years old and wanted a chance to see him up close. As he passed them, they said hi and he asked if they wanted autographs. They got some napkins autographed. When they came back to their seats, they were beaming. They were so excited that they could not sit still. After awhile, one of the kids started watching the game. At one point, he absentmindedly started to wipe his mouth with the napkin. The second kid yelled, NOOOOO! and shot his hand up to stop the first kid. "YOU CAN'T WIPE YOUR MOUTH WITH THAT NAPKIN!" Then the kids went back to giggling and bouncing around in their seats, re-living their encounter with Sutherland.

As a side note, did you realize that his birth name is "Kiefer William Frederick Dempsey George Rufus Sutherland"?
