Tumalo Butte Hike

My brother Tom and my sister-in-law Tamara are spending the week in Sun River.  They invited me on a hike up Tumalo Butte.  It’s the first time that I have been on this hike.  It was about what I expected.  It was a moderately strenuous climb for me, but not too hard.  The day we chose ended up being chilly (mid-30’s) and windy at the top.  A storm was on its way into central oregon.  The views of Mt Bachelor and the Sisters and Broken Top were spectacular.  The cloud cover did not allow us to see much farther than that.  All in all, a great morning hike.
