Black Mouse

On Saturday, we went to play the Black Mouse disc golf course in Felton. It is located in a redwood forest above San Lorenzo High School. A few years back, I played a few times with Ben and some of his friends. The course is pretty rough, often the tees are just cleared out spots in a trail. We never had a map, but Ben's friends had a general idea of the course layout. However, they only could find 13 or 14 of the 18 holes. And sometimes, they were not sure which teepad went to which hole. But it was fun to wander around the redwood forest. It is an especially nice to play on a hot day, since the course is well shaded due to the dense forest.

Anyway, a map of all 18 holes has been posted on the internet, so we decided to return and play the course. This time we were able to find and play all 18 holes. Even with a map, it was sometimes hard to find the next hole. Occasionally we got directions from others playing the course. In the end, it turned out to be a nice low-key, relaxing round of disc golf.
